SYNOPSIS:

 

"In 2013, Jessica disappeared without a trace. Now, in the age of increasingly advanced AI, her boyfriend Allister attempts to recreate her likeness as an android, recruiting her friends from childhood and college to help. It’s not long before the rules of androids become complicated, however, as the friends argue for different shades of gray in a struggle of consent, morality, and who amongst them gets a say in how Jessica is remembered, and how she’ll be portrayed in the future.  "

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

 

Patrick Vermillion

Patrick is an NYC playwright and comedian. His plays have been seen at Ensemble Studio Theater, Soho Playhouse, Alchemical Lab, and the LSU New Works Reading Series. He is also a recipient of the 2015 David Lindsay-Abaire award from his alma-mater Sarah Lawrence College for his play Drinking Game. In 2016 his play Jessica was selected as the winner for Sanguine Theater's Project Playwright. He is also a director, most recently having directed the interactive "You Haunt Our House" at The Annoyance Theater in Brooklyn, New York. As a comedian he performs stand-up, improv, and sketch throughout the city. As a Standup he's performed at The Eastville Comedy Club and The Stonestreet Comedy Hour. He also hosts the show "Call Your Dad" which can be seen at venues such as MuchMores or Bushwick Public House. In addition to the award-winning New Greta, he has been seen on Magnet House Team Wolf Gang, Reckless Instant Team Soft Hammer, the web series Things That Don't Matter and National College Improv Champions Feral Christine.
