Mission Statement

The Landing Theatre Company is dedicated to advancing American Theatre through the cultivation of extraordinary American playwriting and presenting American works that have significant artistic worth to our community, our culture and our history.

Help The Landing Theatre Company get off to a great start this season.
Join Campaign 250!  Now through August 31st!

Campaign 250 is an easy way for you to get involved, and a terrific way for us to get a great start on our fundraising goals for the year.  For this campaign we are asking our supporters, patrons and friends to donate $250 to help get our season off to a strong start.

PROGRAMING RESOURCES
The great news is that we recently decided to give up our space at the Docks in order to use our resources better. Now that we no longer have that expense, we can turn most of our resources to programming, which is both desired and prudent.

ORGANIZATION
We are also pushing our season back, to give us more time for fundraising, grant writing, season planning and growing our Board of Directors and Advisory Panel, which have already expanded significantly since we moved in May.  All of this will help us continue to deliver high quality work to our patrons.

CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS
We are also in discussions with a number of sister organizations about creative partnerships.  And there are some terrific projects in the works with each of them.  So we are very excited about where we're going, and how we're getting there.
HOW TO DONATE
To donate, simply click the DONATE NOW button at the top of the page, and make your contribution by August 1st.  All donations during that time period will be considered part of this campaign.
UPCOMING PLANS

The complete season will be out soon, but we can tell you that it will feature several new works, including one of the finalists from this year's New American Voices Play Reading Series, as well as David Rainey in NAT TURNER: PROPHET'S SORROW by Reginald Edmund, an original one-man play about the famous slave who lead the largest slave rebellion in US history.

Also the submission window for this year's New American Voices Play Reading Series begins August 1st and runs through September 30.  So start preparing your submissions now.

Finally, thank you for being a supporter of The Landing Theatre Company.  The work we do is only possible because of supporters like you.  Thanks for being on our team.
